Personal Transformation

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

I am in the process of transforming myself and my life and everything and everyone around me for the better good of me and all.

You may be asking yourself “What is this guy talking about?”. Well… the only way I can explain it is that I got lost and I am now finding myself. Whether this statement sounds pretentious or comprehensible, it is true and I will try to explain as I continue on my journey.

Updated 11th July 2008:
I have add a new template called Big Blue to my site’s Word Press publishing solution. Thank you to Bob for creating the theme.

I have moved the Categories so that they now appear above the Archives on the left menu (on the right of the page) as I believe that the Categories are more important for my needs than the Archives, or perhaps you may feel differently. Let me know.

I have removed the repetition of the Page list (as on the header at the top of the screen). I didn’t see any point in having these pages listed and linked to twice.

I’ve have reduced the spacing between all the menu options to help make it easier to see more items in the menu lists without having to scroll.

Updated 15th July 2008:
I have increased the width of the gallery page so that it is more or less the same as the rest of the site.

Updated 16th July 2008:
I have written my first article intended to help my transformation. There may be others that I have written in the past but this as I said is the first intended one. Here it is.

Updated 2nd August 2008:
I have added a new category called “My Findings of The Truth”. There have bee many situations in my life where the truth has caused mixed emotions from peace to anger but I feel that I need to look into the concept of The Truth a bit more and also would like to discuss it with you. Here’s the new category.

Updated 13th August 2008:
I have come across many quotes from people that I have known directly and also indirectly. I feel that it’s time for me to start sharing the quotes and perhaps for you to discuss them. I have added a new category called “My Favourite Quotes” and here it is.

Updated 19th August 2008:
I started adding all my previous work and articles to the Business Development, Personal Development and Truth categories.

Updated 21st August 2008:
Whilst re-organising many of the Posts as per the above update, I realised that the tone or the content of the some of the earlier Posts were not appropriate. I was about to go through every Post and make it more appropriate but then I thought NO! It would be better for you perhaps to understand the transformation by seeing Posts as they always were and hence following a concept I believe in which works for you; The Truth.

I believe I’ve re-organised all of the Posts on my blog to date. If you see anything that needs correcting then please contact me.

Updated 23rd August 2008:
I’m adding items to the gallery to give you a better feel about me. Most of the current gallery items are personal photos. I may add previous work which is mostly graphic design work which I really don’t focus at the moment. I hope to add more items in future. You can see the gallery here.

Updated 24th August 2008:
A lot of people still think that I do graphic design. To clarify matters, I completed a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design and yes I did do graphic design work for a while, but it was a very short while. I have mostly helped people develop their businesses with upcoming technologies. Anyway, going back to the graphic design, I’ve simply put up some of my work in the gallery. You can see it here.

I’ve also added a link to the main menu at the top of the site to give you easy access to the gallery.

Updated 28th August 2008:
You can now rate my Posts by clicking on one of the stars at the bottom of the page of each full Post (like this one). Thank you to Lester Chan for your plugin that allows me to do this. I’m not quite sure why I’ve added this but it felt right at the time. Let’s see how it goes.

I’ve also added a Post view counter (thanks again to Lester Chan) for all the main Post articles and it obviously has to start at 0 for all the pages from today (28 Aug 08).

Updated 30th August 2008:
I’ve updated the font of the logo of my name to a serif font and changed all the rollover links to appear as underlined dark red instead of the old green colour which was a bit yucky!

Updated 21st August 2008:
I’ve removed the page views counter from each Post for the time being. I simply didn’t like it being at zero or small number considering the fact that the site has been up for years and there have been thousands of page views already that have not been counted for public viewing. The current low page views do not do the site any justice. I’ll display the page views once they’ve built up a bit.

Updated 4th September 2008:
I’ve updated the way WordPress created the names for these pages and removed the month and year from the naming as I was finding that some posts needed updating and I wanted to bring them forward as a current post. However as the page names were registered with search engines, changing the month and date of the post obviously changed the same in the name of the page and the page had to be re-registered by the search engines.

You may there find that some of the pages don’t appear from search engines for a while until the new names have been re-registered. If you’re looking for a specific article and you know it’s title, then enter some of the words from the title into the search and I hope you find what you were looking for.

I’ve also made some minor layout updates to the menus on the right of the pages and there currently seems to be no significant changes that need to be made to the visual aspects of this site.

So here’s a sign of where I am at the moment:

Updated 9th September 2008:
Thanks to Lester Chan again, I have added a Print feature to all the full posts. This took a bit of customisation of Lester’s templates to get the print page to display what I wanted. The Print links appear at the top and the bottom of the full posts, and you will also notice that the bottom features of the posts now have a a more defined (grey) area to identify the features. I hope to add more appropriate features in future.

I’ve also updated the order of the categories on the menu using the WordPress plugin by froman118 (what is your name?) of Geekly Weekly. Thanks froman (I hope I can call you that until we get your name?).

Updated 10th September 2008:
After looking at the site slightly afresh, I realised that the main link blue colour was not quite obvious when it appeared within an article’s main text that is a grey colour. So I’ve made the links just that little more bluer. I hope they’re more obvious now.

Updated 19th September 2008:
There may be more updated to this site, but for now…

all I can say is “To Infinity & Beyond” - Buzz Lightyear.
