Enjoy Diwali (And The Meaning of It)
I have known about and celebrated (on and off) Diwali for many years. “On and off” because it really did not mean much to me until today.
I have always know Diwali to be celebration of light(s) but today I researched what Diwali actually is.
I previously and subconciously related the word light(s) to sunlight, the stars and occasionally artificial light(s) or some other OUTER light source, but only today I found out that the word light referrs to the inner light (the atman, the spirit, or whatever the THE is for you). This may or may not mean anything to you but is quite a profund discovery for me, especially considering my research into thoughts, beliefs, feelings/emotions and the reality of our lives.
So I felt like creating and image that reflects the meaning of the word Diwali for me. I hope it means something for you.
