Ground Floor Building Complete – Now The CeilingMonday, August 10th, 2009The ground floor of the homes that I’m building has been completed to a level where the ceiling and stairs to the first floor can be started work on. The ceilings and stairs are made from solid concrete by binding sheets of metal and wood together to create the required moulds. This takes most of the time and then it’s a matter of filling the moulds with concrete and due to the heat, constantly watering the cement over about a week to ensure that it does not crack.
