Wednesday, May 21st, 2008I wrote some management code for The InterPost which helped to send email reminders to users when Posts where expiring and to manage the Research page which showed what people were most recently looking for on search engines and then coming to The InterPost.
I found out that the code recently slowed done the whole site and user experience.

Update on 19 May 2008: After a couple of months of waiting for feedback -my initial instincts were correct - a lot of the points seem not to be true, I’ll leave this Post here anyway as a lesson to be learnt about your instincts. I really did think that most of the points could not be true when I originally received this email but I kept an open mind and after publishing the information and thought I’d simply wait for feedback about it and most of the feedback I received was in line with what I thought. So when you’re instincts tell you something and especially when you feel strongly about them, go with them!
